Curtains and a recipe too...

The snow is almost gone and we have been outside!  We have a sweet little half mile trail that loops right through our neighborhood.  The kiddies and I have been walking around it two or three times after school.  This weekend, I hope we will be spending most of our time outside.

Cafe curtains for my kitchen window.  I finished sewing them earlier this week.
Polka dots of course.  I love them.  ;)
Here is another recipe that I have made lately.  I adapted it from a recipe in one of my magazines.  I made it up the night before, then popped it into the oven when I got up...the kids loved it.  But who doesn't love a little chocolate at breakfast?

Baked Banana Oatmeal
3 cups old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 Tbsp butter, melted
3 eggs
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups mashed banana (about 4 ripe bananas)
1/4 cup chocolate chips (if desired)

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until blended.
Spread into a greased baking dish or individual ramekins.
Place in the refrigerator overnight.  (the oatmeal will soak up most of the liquid, don't worry, it will bake up nicely).
Pull out of the refrigerator and then pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.  Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until oatmeal is tender.
Top with fruit, a little milk, or even maple syrup.
Enjoy!

We are quite enamored with mustaches around here.
