Outside has been lovely lately.
It is warm.
Everything is growing and close to blooming.
My garden...Oh, what can I say?  I'm in love.  Finally after all of these years I have a garden!  It is therapy for me to go out and putz in it.  I weed, I groom the dirt, I smile.  The whole yard really.  I pull a handful of weeds each day when I go out to water.  It's relaxing for me as I walk around in the cool breezes and sunshine.
Someone across the pond put in a fountain...David thinks it's cheesy, I think it's kind of nice.
After such a long Winter, these days have been bliss.  Lot's of projects in our lives these days, but those moments spent outside, bring a measure of peace to our days and slows us down.  Again...lovely!
Peace friends!

Tea was the thing...

The girls and I had a tea party awhile back.
We made paper flowers, baked cookies, and had tea in real cups and saucers.
I showed them the proper way to hold a tea cup...pinkie up, of course!
We then took cookies to the neighbors across the street...they have been lovely and I wanted to say thank you.
Rey discovered he likes to wear Rubia's tiara.
Goofy Kiddies of mine!  I love them to pieces!
Peace friends!

 Coach Louie
Coach Sean
Coach Emily

Recently, Elijah and Evelyn attended a morning soccer camp for one week.  They had a lovely time and learned a great deal.  They even spent an entire session playing in the pouring about character building!
One of the more fun aspects of the week was the fact that we had one of the British coaches stay with us.  Sean was lovely and the kids loved being around him.  I had never hosted anyone for anything before, so I'm afraid he may have been a bit bored.  Our schedules were such that we couldn't really show him around much. But, I hope he enjoyed his time with our nuttiness.
Can you believe it's almost July?
Whew...I feel like we are going a million miles per hour. I'll try to be back here in a few days.  I have lots of pictures and fun things to share.
Peace friends!

For the Birds...

This little family had been hanging out in the yard next door until recently.  We all loved watching the Mama, Daddy, and goslings eating, napping, and swimming past in the pond.

We spend a lot of time watching birds and wildlife everyday.  The pond makes for a great habitat for the kids and I to observe the natural world.  I have spied more eagles and a few days ago a heron stopped off for awhile until a pesky Red-Winged Black Bird chased it off, all for the sake of protecting it's nest.  :)
We have found empty egg shells on the ground and have spied two nests nearby.  One is a Robin's nest and we watched as the Mama fed her hungry babies.  The rain has made everything lush and green and keeps the worms close to the surface of the lawn, so the birds have been feasting.
My neighbor told me how putting out grape jelly would bring Orioles to the yard.  Having never seen an Oriole, I put some out and sure enough within a couple of hours I had one going to town.
I think I am sold about living near water.  I think it is something I would like to have no matter where we may go from here.
Peace Friends!
