Baking as play...

Evelyn is often busy in her kitchen.
Baking cookies is often on the docket.
Although sometimes brownies are in order too.
Therefore I have become quite adept at pretending to eat said treats whether I am hungry or not. :)
The chef's hat is from her dress-up basket.
I can't wait to see what other goodies she bakes for me.
I love to hear the clankings and rummagings that mean she is hard at work.
She often chatters and sings to herself as she goes about her business as well. 
To be a fly on the wall...but, I'll have to settle for a seat in the hallway so as not to disturb and distract.
I can deal with that.
